Our livestock guardian dogs are an essential part of life at Misty Mountain Miniatures. Bred for the job, they live with the herd 24/7 and form deep bonds with every animal in their care.
Despite their impressive size and protective instincts, our guardian dogs are incredibly gentle with the animals — and with people they know. They are calm, confident, and absolutely devoted to their flock.

Luna is our senior guardian — a beautiful, experienced Maremma who has been protecting our herd for years. She's calm, wise, and utterly devoted to her animals. The goats and sheep adore her.

Bear is our younger guardian who has learned the ropes from Luna. He's enthusiastic, attentive, and takes his job very seriously — though he still finds time for the occasional cuddle.

The Maremma Sheepdog is an ancient Italian breed developed specifically to guard livestock. They are large, white, and naturally protective — bonding deeply with the animals in their care. They are not typical pet dogs; they are working animals who thrive when given a job to do.
